Abstract
Objective:To investigate the radiologic feature of jaw bone islands on cone beam CT(CBCT).Methods:Analyze the feature of CBCT radiographs of 1459 patients and select people who had bone islands(BIs)from July to August 2015.Results:BIs were prevalent among women,and 74% BIs were solitary.The vast majority(83%)occurred in the mandible.BIs with varied sizes were appeared round,strip,or irregular in shape.BIs on CBCT were classified as:apical type(8.9%),compact bone type(47.4%),apical-compact bone type(33.1%)and separate type(10.6%).Conclusion:CBCT can precisely demonstrate the characteristic feature of BIs and their relationship with surrounding structures,and regular follow-up is significant.关键词
