Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the morphological changes of apical surface after performing bypass fractured instrument on root canal prepared teeth.Methods:Collecting two groups of teeth with 25#(n=13)and 15#(n=16)nickel-titanium instruments fractured in root canals,and the bypassing fractured instruments were performed.Also,15 teeth without instruments fractured were set as control group.The apical surfaces of all teeth were examined under SEM and dissecting microscope to observe their morphological changes.Results:The apical foramen diversifications such as dentin defects and crackles were observed in some samples.For the group with 25# nickel-titanium instruments fractured,the damage of apical surface by performing bypass fractured instrument was the severest,with damaging rate reaching 69.2%,significantly higher than the other two groups.Conclusion:Treatment of bypassing fractured instrument can damage the apical surfaces of teeth with significantly higher rate.关键词
