摘要

Abstract

Externally pressurized hydrostatic gas seal show good performance with low speed.Additionally,it can be easily adjusted by controlling gas source pressure.A good tracing ability keeps a seal away from malfunctioning when affected by misalignment and axial runout of non-floating ring.A perturbation method is applied to calculate dynamic coefficients of seal with integral and divided equalizing groove(s),and then tracing performance is calculated.The comparison of results between seal employing integral and divided equalizing groove(s) shows that although there is no obvious difference in axial properties,seal with divided equalizing grooves works with significantly higher angular direct dynamic stiffness and traces misalignment of non-floating ring better.
