Discussion on ZHENG Qinan's Medicine-I Ching Theory from Order of Hexagrams

Abstract
To discuss ZHENG Qinan's medicine-I Ching theory from the order of the hexagrams in I Ching and concept of yin and yang.Through the analysis of the study objects such as I Ching,Yili Zhenchuan,Yifa Yuantong and other books like Huangdi's Internal Classic and Shanghan Henglun,it is found that under the influence of the theory of yin-yang in I Ching,ZHENG Qinan emphasized yin and yang as the root of the disease.Inspired by the order of hexagrams and based on the sentence "beginning with Qian and Kun,ending with Kan and Li",he proposed that "Qian and Kun are the noumenon,Kan and Li are the function",which clarified the relationship between yin and yang and the relationship between the noumenon and the function.According to "beginning with Xian and Heng,ending with Jiji and Weijin",ZHENG Qinan put forward the idea that treatment should pay attention to the interaction of the upper and lower location,as well as the intersection of water and fire,which explained the importance of the interactive movement of yin and yang.On the basis of I Ching theory and combined with other books like Huangdi's Internal Classic and Treatise on Febrile Diseases,ZHENG Qinan formed an unique medicine-I Ching theory containing his thought about principle,method,prescription and medicine,which had deep influence on later generations.关键词
