美国大学体育业余主义历史传统探析
Analysis on Historical Traditions of NCAA Amateurism
摘要
Abstract
The amateurism is the fundamental principle theme of NCAA.The in-depth analysis toward this theme is essential to understand the success of American intercollegiate athletic and meaningful for the development of Chinese university sports.Based on literature reviews,the results show that it is a concept initiated by Victorian England scholars from the views of ancient Greek philosophers on comprehensive development education,and facilitated to a central component of elite education.It was inherited by American higher education.The legislation on eligibility and academic progress etc.of student-athlete to resist the professionalization and to maintain the level playing field for intercollegiate athletics are the key approaches for the adherence and sustainability of NCAA amateurism.关键词
