Research on Combined Rail and Water Transport Corridor between Shaanxi and Chongqing

摘要

Abstract

This paper aims to study the necessity and route plan of the combined rail and water transport corridor between Shaanxi and Chongqing, justify the construction from the aspect of network layout, energy supply and social and economic development and estimate the traffic volumes of coal and foreign trade goods. The corridor architecture scheme is proposed after program comparison and its economic supply scope is defined through route comparison. Finally, it is proved that the corridor capacity can meet the demand as far as the railway, ports, Yangtze River waterway are concerned.
