Abstract

Due to the guidance of the urban spatial structure, TOD development, the location of the vehicle base and other factors, the line sections in the periphery of the cit are longer and the passenger flow efficiency is poor. In order to shorten the length of low-benefit sections and reduce pre-project investment, this paper puts forward the idea that some sections of different lines are built and operated in advance and timely separated late to shorten the length of the low efficiency sections, and analyzes the applicable conditions and implementation plan of the combination and split. With reference to the combination and split of Tianjin Metro Line 6 and line 8 , a reasonable program is determined with comprehensive consideration of the line and its surrounding conditions, traffic organization, civil engineering investment, construction risk and other factors. The combination and split scheme between two lines is conducive to the flexibility of the network structure, and can avoid longer lines in the city periphery and poor operating efficiency. In the engineering design, the near future project investment should be reduced practically and flexibly as much as possible under the premise that the execution of the long-term project and normal operation are not impacted.
