摘要

Abstract

This paper focuses on five failures of headspan suspension in overhead contact system due to dispersion of traction current of headspan suspension that burns down the steady arm and suspension pulley. By simulating the electric locomotive collecting current at different locations, these failures are analyzed to trace the causes for the dispersion according to the principle of electric circuit and the characteristics of each device. Countermeasures are formulated and implemented with good results. Comprehensive analysis of these five failures is conducted to find out the common causes and it is the insufficiency of the main circuit that proves to be the very cause for the failures. In order to solve this kind of problem, the author proposes the principle for inspecting the insufficiency of the main circuit, which may provide reference for designers and operators.
