Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) on cognition in patients with cerebral infarction.Methods One hundred and forty eight patients with acute cerebral infarction admitted in our hospital from March 2014 to September 2016 were enrolled in the study.According to the results of polysomnography (PSG) monitoring,there were 50 cerebral infarction patients with OSAS (OSAS group) and 98 cases without OSAS (non-OSAS group).Results BMI and the proportion of male were higher in OSAS group than those in non-OSAS group (P＜0.05).The overall scores and scores of sub-items in OSAS group were lower than those in non-OSAS group (P＜0.05).There were significant differences in scores of visual space and executive function,memory,attention,language and abstraction between two groups (P＜0.01).The latency of P300 in OSAS group was prolonged and the amplitude was decreased (P＜0.01 or P＜0.05).Conclusion OSAS may aggravate cognitive impairment in patients with cerebral infarction.关键词
