摘要

Abstract

The sulfidizing mechanism and surface properties of znic minerals (sphalerite/smithsonite/hemimorphite) after sulfidization with Na2S in different conditions were studied. The results show that it is hard to make smithsonite and hemimorphite sulfidizing well at normal temperature because the chemical reactions of HS- with metal ions on the surface of minerals are inadequate and crystallized ZnS forms is poor at the surfaces. But it can obviously make sulfidization better by reconditioning with Pb2+ion. Zinc oxide (smithsonite/hemimorphite) flotation can be achieved with xanthate collectors after treating with Na2S+Pb2+. Ion exchange between Zn2+and Pb2+occurs on the sulfidized mineral surfaces, which strengthens sulfidizing process and causes xanthate absorption of mineral surfaces to increase.
