摘要

Abstract

Objective:To study the effect of Guiqi polysaccharide on oxidative damage of kidney tissue in D-galactose-induced aging rats.Methods:We extracted polysaccharide from a percentage of angelica and astragalus membranaceus through the water extraction and alcohol precipitation method,and determined the content of polysaccharide with phenol sulfuric acid method.D-galactose was subcutaneous injected at a dose of 0.15 g/kg body weight every day except the normal control group.Rats of the low-and high-dose Guiqi polysaccharide (2.0 g/kg and 0.5 g/kg) were orally administrated daily for 42 days,respectively.Then superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity,the content of glutathione peroxidase (GSH-PX),glutathione (GSH),malondialdehyde (MDA) content,protein carbonyl of kidney were determined,respectively.Results:Guiqi polysaccharides could enhance SOD,GSH-PX,GSH enzyme activity in renal tissue of aging rats,and it could significantly decrease the content of MDA and protein carbonyl.Conclusion:Guiqi polysaccharide can reduce free radical damage to the kidney of aging rats and protect the normal kidney from senescence.
