Abstract

Dynamic contact resistance measurement is an effective method to measure the erosion condition of arcing contacts of SF6 circuit breakers.However,there are many factors influencing dynamic contact resistance measurement.So it is important to analyze arcing contacts erosion condition accurately by studying these influencing factors.By building a measurement circuit of dynamic contact resistance and an SF6 circuit breaker test model,the influences of measurement current,power-supply types,arc erosion,the opening speed of circuit breakers on the dynamic contact resistance are analyzed.The results show that measurement current should be more than 1 000 A for obtaining accurate dynamic contact resistance.Both super capacitors and batteries can be used as power supply,and the output current of batteries is more stable.Arc erosion produced by 30 kA test current is more serious than that produced by 10 kA test current.Dynamic contact resistance will increase by 169.9 μΩ and 11.9 μΩ after 100 tests,respectively.Dynamic contact resistance is less affected when the opening speed of circuit breakers range from 4.4 rn/s to 8.43 m/s.The biggest difference is 15.6 μΩ.
