Evaluation Analysis of 10 kV XLPE Cable's Operation Condition

Abstract
With the widespread application of XLPE cables,it is a hot issue to evaluate the electrical condition of cables.Firstly,we prepared four new cables with attachments and used a heating cycle voltage test platform to accelerate cable aging so as to carry out the electrical tests and material analysis experiments on the cables.On the basis of the results,with the National perspective Standard GB12706-2008,by considering some appendant factors such as running years,operating environment,loading status,and past failures,we established an initial cable condition assessment model combining macro and microscopic parameters.Finally,we applied the model to evaluate the states of new and aged cables which were in operation.The results show that the factors,such as the insulation resistance,dielectric loss tangent,partial discharge and oxidation induction time(OIT) on the macro view,insulation crystallinity,mass fraction of O element,and carbonyl index in the micro angle,can reflect the aging states of cables.The evaluation results validate the effectiveness of the model for judgments and can estimate the change of cables operation states.关键词
