Abstract
Objective:To examine the reliability and validity of Chinese version of the 12 -Item Grit Scale.Meth-ods:The scale was translated into Chinese version,then we used confirmatory factor analysis to analyze its construct validity,and Resilience Scale(RS-14)was used as a standard tool for testing validity.According to the revised scale method,we randomly selected a sample of 360 adults in Beijing who were given the scale,in which 80 randomly se-lected adults were retested two weeks later,the reliabilities and validities of Chinese version were examined.Results:All the items of the critical value(CR)reached the 0.001 level of significance in the Chinese version.The correlation coefficient between each item with a corresponding scale of 0.237-0.748.Factor analysis showed that the Grit scale was adapted to two-factor model of Duckworth,and the structural validity was good(RMR=0.037,NFI=0.927, GFI=0.957,RMSEA=0.049).With Resilience Scale(RS-14)as a criterion,the Scale scores of Grit scale and RS-14 showed a positive correlation(r =0.671,P <0.001).The Cronbach`s α coefficient of the Grit scale was 0.729,and split-half reliability was 0.784.The test retest reliability coefficient was 0.804(P <0.001).Conclusion:The Chinese version of Grit Scale has high reliability and validity as an effective instrument for measuring gritty of Chinese a-dults.关键词
