Abstract

At present,conventional technology of chemical flooding is difficult to improve oil recovery in Yong 8 block of Shengli Oilfield because of the high viscosity of the crude oil,high temperature and high salinity of the reservoir condition.Potential application of the endogenous microbial flooding technology was thus studied.Structural analysis indicated that various functional bacteria,e.g.,emulsifier production microbes and methanogen were detected.Several nutritional formulas were then used to activate the bacteria and an optimum one was obtained.The effective concentration of the bacteria in the cultured brothreached 108 cfu/mL and the pressure in the culture bottle reached to 0.088 MPa with an average gas production rate of 0.2 L per gram per day.The activated bacteria broth showed good emulsifying ability,which could emulsify diesel completely and steadily.Core flooding tests showed that the improved oil recovery reached to 9% after 0.3 PV(pore volume) of the activator was injected,and the water cut decreased from 95.1% to 81.4%.The technology of the endogenous microbial flooding might find its application in the test block.
