Abstract

The law of resistance loss is closely related to the sediment transport characteristics of pipelines.The mixture model for multiphase flow was used in this paper,utilized the Xiaolangdi reservoir site pipeline pumping sand test parameters to study the pipeline resistance changes with sediment concentration and velocity of flow.The simulation results are compared with Fei Xiangjun,Durand and Chen Guangwen's resistance formula.Research shows that:①in various flow conditions,the pressure drop increases with the increasing sediment concentration;In the same concentration,the pressure loss is two times of linear increase with the growth of velocity.As for the unit weight,the resistance loss of different concentrations of mixed water sand under the same speed is basically the same.②In addition to the high sediment concentration and low flow rate,the simulation results deviate from the Durand resistance formula.In other cases,the numerical simulation results are in good agreement with those of Chen Guangwen,Fei Xiangjun and Durand resistance formula.③When the flow velocity is less than a certain degree(v=1 m/s),the simulation results show that the sediment transport rate is not conserved.It can be further by considering the actual situation and using the analysis of the sediment transport rate in the simulation to judge the silt velocity of the pipeline.
