Abstract
Objective To explore the clinical effect of sternocleidomastoid myocutaneous flap for repairing mandibular gingival carcinoma postoperative defect. Methods 15 cases of patients with mandibular gingival cancer were retrospectively analyzed,including 6 cases of T1N0M0,T2N0M07 cases,T2N1M02 cases,using sternocleidomastoid myocutaneous flap to repair the defect,including 5 cases reconstruction using titanium plate at the same time.All patients were followed-up for 6 months to 5 years after surgery. Results 14 of 15 cases gained phase I healing,1 case suffered distal part necrosis following iodoform gauze tamponade before phase Ⅱ granulation healing. 14 cases have no recurrence or metastasis.1 case had local recurrence after 8 months. Conclusion Using sternocleidomastoid myocutaneous flap to repair postoperative defect after mandibular gingival carcinoma is a simple and effective method with smaller trauma.关键词
