Fast Particle-in-Cell Method for Multipactor Threshold Calculation of Ferrite Circulator
摘要
Abstract
This paper proposed a fast particle-in-cell (PIC) method for calculating the multipactor threshold of ferrite circulators.First the distribution of electromagnetic field and static magnetic field,as well as the information of triangle boundary inside the ferrite circulator are obtained using the CST Microwave Studio;then particle trajectories are solved with the leapfrog scheme;and then the secondary electron yield (SEY) at each electron collision is computed with Furman's model.The multipactor threshold is ultimately determined upon the electron growth with time.For comparative investigation,the multipactor threshold of ferrite circulator is calculated with the proposed method and with the CST Particle Studio separately.The proposed method can achieve the same calculation accuracy but with 6 times calculation efficiency when compared with the CST method.关键词
