Influence of Heat Treatment on Mechanical Behavior and Microstructure of SiCp/6061Al Composites

摘要

Abstract

A SiCp/6061Al aluminum matrix composite prepared by stir casting and hot rolling was heat-treated and the material properties and the microstructure after heat treatment were studied.It shows that the annealing treatment can improve the elongation more than four times and the tensile strength of rolled composite is enhanced by T6 treatment.The emergence of the precipitated phase is the main factor to affect the composite properties.
