防风膝痹汤联合针刺治疗痛痹型膝骨关节炎
Effect of Fangfeng Xibi decoction combined with acupuncture in the treatment of cold-aggravated arthralgia type knee oteoarthritis

Abstract
Objective To investigate the Fangfeng Xibi decoction combined with acupuncture in treating the cold-aggravated arthralgia type knee osteoarthritis (KOA). Methods 56 patients with cold-aggravated arthralgia type KOA from our hospital of TCM since January 2014 to 2016 were divided into control and observation group by random number generator, and there were 28 patients in each one. Patients in control group were treated with hyaluronic acid intra-articular injections as well as the celecoxib while patients in observation group were given the Fangfeng Xibi decoction combined with acupuncture. And all patients were treated with 4 weeks. The signs and symptoms were observed with the hierarchical quantitative score of KOA and the visual analogue scale (VAS). The concentration of tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α and interleukin (IL)-1β in the synovial fluid were tested by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Results The total effective rate of observation group was 92.86%, but the control one was 75.00%, and there was the difference (P<0.05). Meanwhile, the hierarchical quantitative score of KOA in the observation group was less than the control one (5.26±1.84) vs (6.55±2.19), and there was the difference (P<0.05).Furthermore, the VAS in the control group was higher than the observation group (2.69±1.02) vs (1.42±0.77), and there was the difference (P<0.05). After the medication, the concentration of TNF-α in the observation group was much less than the control one(21.36±4.75) vs (36.43±6.51) pg/mL, and there was the difference (P<0.05. The concentration of IL-1β in the observation group was also obviously less than the control one (10.51±3.23) vs (18.32±4.18 pg/mL), and there was the difference (P<0.05). Conclusion Fangfeng Xibi decoction combined with acupuncture could be used to treat with the cold-aggravated arthralgia type KOA. Not only could it decrease the hierarchical quantitative score of KOA and the VAS, but it could also induce the concentration of intra-articular inflammatory factor like TNF-α and IL-1β, which had the great anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects.关键词
