镀锌板无飞溅点焊电极设计及试验
Design and experiment of the electrode for spatter-free spot welding of the galvanized steel sheets

Abstract
In the spot welding of galvanized sheet steel in automotive industry,the spatter and the narrow range of adjustable welding parameters are important quality issues.To solve the problem,a new electrode is designed,having a small blind hole on the tip of the traditional flat tip electrode.The test results show that under the fixed condition of 2.0 kN electrode force and 200 ms welding time,the intervals of welding current with spatter-free of the new electrode and traditional one are 6.5~9.5 kA and 6~7 kA,respectively.Furthermore the nugget size is not less than 5 mm and the tensile shear strength is greater with the new electrode.The new electrode having a small hole on the tip reduces welding spatter effectively and widens the parameter range,with which it is possible to improve the spot welding quality and the efficiency of automotive body assembly and to reduce the reworking in the shop.关键词
