Abstract
Objective:To find the use of failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) in reducing the rates of the unqualified specimen collections.Methods:By using the failure mode and effect analysis,we analyzed the reasons of unqualified specimen collections,found potential failure modes,analyzed the process,calculated priority risk index (RPN),and made the improvement measures.Results:The rates of unqualified specimen decreased from 1.7％ to 0.05％ due to the application of the failure mode and effect analysis,the difference was statistically significant (x2=27,P＜0.01).Conclusion:The failure mode and effect analysis can be used in all aspects of the specimen collection can effectively reduce the unqualified specimen rates,ensure specimen's quality and improve patient's satisfaction.关键词
