摘要
Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the effect of continuity of care on neural development in very low birth weight premature infants.Methods:Using randomized controlled trail design,174 very low birth weight premature infants were divided into two groups.Totally 87 cases completed the trial in each group.Tne control groups were given routine outpatient care.In addition,the experimental group received continuity of care.Infants' neurological assessment were carried by using "0 to 6 years old children's neuropsychological development scale";body height,body weight and head circumference were collected at the point of 0,6th 9th and 12th month.Results:Body height and body weight in the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the control group,the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05),and there was no significance in the index of head circumference;the development quotient and each function region of scale in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group (P＜0.001).Conclusion:Continuity of care can promote very low birth weight premature infants' intellectual development,which maybe an effective means to improve VLBWI prognosis and the quality of life.关键词
