现代农业视角下农民专业合作社发展水平评估研究——基于湖南数据的实证
The evaluation of the development level of farmers' professional cooperatives from the perspective of modern agriculture: A case study of Hunan Province

Abstract
As one of the major new agricultural business entities, farmers' professional cooperatives play an important role in the development of modern agriculture in many ways, include promoting the scale production of agriculture, increasing farmers' income, helping land transfer in rural areas, and strengthening specialization training for farmers. Based on the survey data of farmers' professional cooperatives in Hunan, and applying the analytic hierarchy process (AHP), this paper constructed an evaluation system for the development levels of farmers' professional cooperatives and examined the quantitative characteristics and interrelationship of farmers' professional cooperatives in terms of economic effects, social effects, internal management and sustainable developments, and cooperatives' contribution to the comprehensive development level under the new situation. Results show that the average score of the development level of farmers' professional cooperatives in Hunan was 69.53; economic effects, social effects, internal management, and sustainable development are 89.36%, 65.89%, 72.47%, and 75.43%, respectively. In addition, results also found that, in general, farmers' professional cooperatives in Hunan are still in the lower middle level and social effects are the most serious weakness that restricts the development of cooperatives. Therefore, to enhance the development of modern agriculture in Hunan, this paper suggests to continue supporting the development of cooperatives, especially from the social effect perspective, and to improve the comprehensive development of cooperatives.关键词
