Abstract

In order to analyze the potassium nutrition efficiency among Poncirus trifoliata,Citrange (Carrizo) and Citrus sinensis (Bingtangcheng),the biomass and the K+ content of various seedings growed in MS medium (20 mmol/L K+) and LK medium (100 μmol/L K+) were measured separately.The results showed that DW (dry weight) and the K+ content of Citrange root were significantly higher than that of Poncirus trifoliate both on MS medium or LK medium.Meanwhile,no obvious distinction of the DW was detected from Citrange and Citrus sinensis on MS medium,but the K+ content of Citrange in roots elevated clearly than Citrus sinensis.Whether in MS medium or in LK medium,there was not significant difference in shoot DW among Poncirus trifoliata,Citrange and Citrus sinensis seedings,but K+ content in shoot showed a trend Citrus sinensis > Citrange > Poncirus trifoliata seedings.All these suggested Citrange was better than Poncirus trifoliata as Citrus rootstock in terms of potassium nutrition efficiency.In addition,as a heterosis,the K+-uptake ability of Citrange was also higher than that of Citrus sinensis.
