摘要

Abstract

The maximum height of the high slope at the joint-intake of Kalabeili Water Control Project is 113 m,of which the rock mass is prone to weathering and is to be softened with water,while its saturated compressive strength is only 0.8 MPa.Under the condition of frequent encounters of high intensity earthquakes,submergence in water all year around and large amplitude fluctuation of water level suffered every year,how to ensure the stability of the soft rock slope of 100 m level is really a difficulty in the design.Considering that a terrace is there near the excavation line of the left slope,the design principle that is mainly on excavation,i.e.forced excavation and weak support,is adopted in the design of the slope;that is to say,the excavation is carried out with the slope ratio that is more gentle than the stable rock slope under water,so as to ensure that the slope stability cannot be wholly lost under all the conditions,such as earthquake,rock-saturation and fall of water level.For the rock characteristics that is prone to weathering and softening,the plain shotcrete is required to protect the rock after the excavation for reducing the exposure time of it,and then the shotcrete rockbolt mesh support must be carred out to timely control the local drop pieces and the surface slidings.Furthermore,the drawdown of the reservoir water level must be controlled during its operation,so as to guarantee the safety of the slope.The study result provides a reference for the design of the other high soft rock slope in front of water within strong seismic region.
