Abstract

The optimal process of 1,4- butylene glycol modified DMDHEU resin was studied by the or?thogonal test. DMDHEU resin and 1,4- butylene glycol modified DMDHEU resin were characterized by infrared spectroscopy (FTIR- ATR), nano particle size and Zeta potential. The results showed that the optimal process of 1,4- butylene glycol modified DMDHEU resin were as fol ows: the molar ratio of 1,4- butylene glycol and DMDHEU resin was 1:2.0, pH was 1.5, the reaction temperature was 55~58 ℃, the reaction time was 4 h, the dosage of phthalic anhydride was 0.5% (relative to the amount of 1,4- butyl glycol). The particle size of 1, 4- modified DMDHEU resin was 460~616 nm, and the particle size distribution was more uniform than that of DMDHEU resin. In terms of the linen fabric finished by 1,4- butylene glycol modified DMDHEU resin, the emis?sion amount of formaldehyde was 39.48 mg/kg, the crease recovery angle was 204.09° , the whiteness was improved partly.
