Direct Power Control of Grid-tied Voltage Source Inverter Without Phase-locked Loop Under Distorted Voltage Conditions

Abstract
In order to enhance the operation performance of the grid-tied voltage source inverter (VSI) under distorted voltage conditions,the paper proposed a direct power control (DPC) strategy without phase-locked loop (PLL).The scheme was implemented based on a virtual synchronous reference frame,so that the potential instability problem caused by the PLL can be eliminated.A second-order vector integrator (SOVI) was employed to eliminate the harmonic current components or power fluctuations directly,achieving three different control targets of smooth active power,smooth reactive power or sinusoidal output current.Meanwhile,a grid frequency estimation technique was proposed,which can make the control strategy self-adaptive to the frequency variation in the practical situation.Finally,the experimental system of the VSI was built to validate the effectiveness of the strategy.关键词
