摘要

Abstract

In natural conditions different types of contaminants will accumulate on the surface of the insulators,and the insoluble contaminants have an obvious influence on the voltageof insulators.In this paper 7-unit standard XP4-160 and LXY4-160 insulator strings were taken as the research subject and its AC flashover characteristics with different insoluble contaminants were studied.By combining the test results of different types and particle diameter of insoluble contaminants,the effect of the insoluble contaminants on the AC flashover characteristics of the insulator was analyzed.The result shows that different types of the insoluble contaminants have different effects on the flashover voltage of the insulators.However,it has no influence on the exponents a of soluble contaminants respectively.The particle diameter of insoluble contaminant also has an influence on the flashover voltage of insulators,and it rises with the increasing particle diameter of different insoluble contaminants when the ESDD,NSDD and the type of insoluble contaminant are the same.As a result,in the study of insulator pollution flashover,it cannot just use kaolin and diatomite to simulate the NSDD to analyze the influence of insoluble contaminant on insulator flashover,which should also consider its type and particle diameter.
