Abstract
Objective To analyze the feasibility and complications of laparoscopic surgery for colorectal cancer in patients over 80 years old.Methods Seventy-eight patients (＞ 80 years old) with colorectal cancer who received laparoscopic surgery and laparotomy in our hospital between July 2012 and December 2015 were divided into laparoscopic group (n =40) and laparotomy group (n =38) according to the type of surgery.The clinical data of all patients were retrospectively analyzed,and recovery after surgery and postoperative complications were compared.Results The duration of laparoscopic surgery and laparotomy was similar between the two group.There was no significant difference in time of removing drainage tube,duration of indwelling catheter,number of dissected lymph nodes,positive rate of lymph nodes and positive rate of margin between the two groups (P ＞ 0.05).The blood loos,length of incision,anal exhaust time after surgery,time of dietary recovery and length of stay in laparoscopic group were less or shorter than those in laparotomy group (P ＜ 0.05).The incidence rates of anastomotic leakage,pulmonary infection,incision infection and poor wound healing in the laparoscopic group were lower than those in laparotomy group (P ＞ 0.05),and the overall incidence rate of complications was lower than that in laparotomy group (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion The clinical effect of laparoscopic radical surgery is similar to that of laparotomy in the treatment of colorectal cancer in elderly patients over 80 years old.Patients’ tolerance is good,and the procedure is feasible.The incidence of postoperative complications is low,with good safety.关键词
