Lysine Requirement and Its Influence Factors of 10 to 25 kg Piglets: A Meta-Analysis

Abstract
This study was conduct to research the lysine (Lys) requirement and its influence factors of 10 to 25 kg piglets by a meta-analysis.The publications searching for the Lys requirement of piglets published from 1990 to 2016 were retrieved, and seventeen publications were selected according publication selecting criteria.The quadratic curve (QC), linear-plateau (LP) and curvilinear-plateau (CLP) models were used to estimate the standard ileal digestible lysine (SID Lys) requirement.The results showed that the SID Lys requirement estimated by CLP model was similar to that estimated by QC model, which was higher than that estimated by LP model.The content of SID Lys in diet had no effect on the average daily feed intake (ADFI) of piglets (PQC=0.828 0, Plinear=0.584 4).Using average daily gain (ADG)and the ratio of feed to gain (F/G) as dependent variable, the content of SID Lys as independent variable, the SID Lys requirement in diet of piglets from 10 to 25 kg were 1.280% (P<0.000 1) and 1.260% (P<0.000 1) estimated by QC model, respectively.Moreover, the SID Lys requirement was affected by diet type and genetic background and so on.The SID Lys requirement of corn-soybean meal diet and non corn-soybean meal diet were 1.307% (P=0.005 0) and 1.138% (P=0.000 1), respectively;and the SID Lys requirement of Chinese local pig breed and lean-type pig breed were 1.060% (P=0.001 2) and 1.334% (P=0.004 3), respectively.In conclusion, the SID Lys requirement in diet recommended at 1.230% to 1.280% for 10 to 25 kg piglets to achieving the best growth performance.Meanwhile, diet type and genetic background of pigs and so on should be taken into consideration.关键词
