摘要

Abstract

This experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of dietary iron supplemental level on growth performance, slaughter performance and blood indexes of 60 to 90-day-old New Zealand meat rabbits. One hundred and four 53-day-old New Zealand meat rabbits with similar body weight were randomly divided into four groups with twenty six replicates per group and each replicate contained one rabbit. The rabbits in control group were fed a basic diet, and those in experimental groups were fed experimental diets with 50, 100 and 200 mg/kg iron (the supplemental form was FeSO4·7H2O, and purity was 98%), respectively. The trial lasted for 7 days for adaption, and 30 days for test. The results showed as follows: 1) dietary iron supplemental level had significant effect on the average daily gain (ADG) and the feed to gain ratio (F/G) (P<0.05), but had no significant effect on the average daily feed intake (ADFI) of 60 to 90-day-old New Zealand meat rabbits (P>0.05).With the dietary iron supplemental level increased, the ADG was firstly increased and then decreased, the F/G was firstly decreased and then increased;the highest ADG and the lowest F/G when dietary iron supplemental level was 100 mg/kg.2) Dietary iron supplemental level had significant effect on half eviscerated ratio and all eviscerated ratio of 60 to 90-day-old New Zealand meat rabbit (P<0.05), with the dietary iron supplemental level increased, the half eviscerated ratio and all eviscerated ratio was firstly increased and then decreased, and got the highest when dietary iron supplemental level was 50 mg/kg.3) Dietary iron supplemental level had no significant effect on liver ratio (P>0.05), but had significant effect on spleen ratio and kidney ratio of 60 to 90-day-old New Zealand meat rabbits (P<0.05).When dietary iron supplemental level was 50, 100 and 200 mg/kg, the kidney ratio was significantly higher than that in control group (P<0.05);when dietary iron supplemental level was 100 and 200 mg/kg, the spleen ratio was significantly higher than that in control group (P<0.05).4) Dietary iron supplemental level had no significant effect on the contents of iron, copper, calcium, zinc and magnesium in blood of 60 to 90-day-old New Zealand meat rabbit (P>0.05).Dietary iron supplemental level had significant effect on platelet distribution width (PDW), mean platelet volume (MPV) and platelet-large cell rate (P-LCR) (P<0.05).Considering all indexes of this experiment, the appropriate dietary iron supplemental level is 50 to 100 mg/kg for 60 to 90-day-old Zealand meat rabbit.
