Influence of Synthesis Conditions on Morphology of Ettringite
摘要
Abstract
Ettringite is a main product of sulphur aluminate cement hydration,and it has a more significant influence on the performance of cement and concrete.The formation conditions of ettringite affects its morphology.In this work,ettringite was synthesized by a chemical method.The influence of synthesis conditions on the formation and morphology of ettringite was investigated.The results show that the morphology of ettringite and the length-width ratio are significantly different due to the use of different synthetic materials.The formation of ettringite can be promoted at elevated temperature.Ettringite can be formed at 80 ℃ and shows lots of morphologies.Ettringite is unstable at 100 ℃.The length-width ratio of ettringite decreases with the increase of solution pH value.Boric acid inhibits the growth of ettringite in the (001) direction.关键词
