摘要
Abstract
Tubular silicon carbide substrates with composite phase were fabricated by a gel-casting method using silicon carbide powder (D50=10.38μm), and a small amount of cordierite, alumina and graphite. The effects of sintering temperature, contents of cordierite and graphite on the phase composition, microstructure, porosity, pore size distribution, flexural strength of the substrates were investigated. The results show that the porosity and the flexural strength of the porous substrate with 70% of silicon carbide (in mass fraction), 10% of cordierite, 10% of alumina and 10% of graphite are 42.84% and 40.3MPa, respectively. At 1400℃, three-phase coexisting ceramic substrate with SiC as a main crystal phase, cordierite and mullite as a secondary crystal phase can be obtained. The substrate has connected pore channel, and the pore size distribution ranges from 0.66 to 3.22μm, which is suitable as a substrate for ceramic membranes.关键词
