Improvement and implementation of a multi-channel programmable optical controlled true time delay network
摘要
Abstract
This paper proposed an optimized architecture of multi-channel programmable optical controlled true time delay network.In this architecture,a new method of balanced amplification is adopted to reduce the gain ripple among different time delay states by 10 times at least.In addition,the micro-electro-mechanical system(MEMS) optical switches are replaced with high speed magneto-optic switches to enhance the time delay switching speed from millisecond level to microsecond level,which significantly increases the beam scanning speed.Finally,an 8-channel,3bit high speed programmable optical true time delay network prototype is implemented and tested.关键词
