Multi-agent system-based warehouse management system in shipyard

Abstract
There have been numerous unsolved problems on warehouse management in large scale shipyards, such as inconsistent materials' through-put and unmatched logistics. This paper introduces so-called multi-agent system's ( MASs) negotiation mechanism to model the warehouse clusters and warehouse management system. Considering the warehouse activities and problem model, the prototype of a warehouse MAS and its function mapping, as well as the negotiation mechanism and algorithm, were designed. Finally, a warehouse cluster management system, which was compatible with the B/S structure, was established. The operational results of the system verified the feasibility of the MAS application in the shipbuilding related projects' warehouse management, and the effectiveness of the ne-gotiation algorithm was proven, which lays a foundation for further intelligent warehouse management.关键词
