动物福利思想的起源及其发展研究
Origin and Evolution of Animal Welfare Philosophy
摘要
Abstract
As an ethic of respecting and protecting animal,animal welfare philosophy has been adopted by the majority of countries in the world.Due to the absence of education on animal welfare philosophy,the public do not comprehend the primary purpose of animal welfare.In addition,there is still no special law of animal welfare which is similar to European Union (EU) in China.In this article,the origin and evolution of animal welfare philosophy was described to explore the main purpose of animal welfare.The differences of legislation and practice on farm animal welfare between China and EU were compared.It was found the main purpose of animal welfare philosophy was respecting the life value of animal as well as human were liable for avoiding animal from suffering.Animal is regarded as property or resource in China,which is the distinct difference from EU.The critical point of promoting animal welfare in China is informing the public of the life value of animal.关键词
