摘要

Abstract

In order to research the seismic performance of high strength steel frames with Y-eccentric braces (Y-HSS-EBFs),the shake table test of a 1 ∶ 2 scaled 3-story Y-HSS-EBFs with redesigned links was carried out with El Centro wave,Taft wave and Lanzhou wave from frequent earthquake level of 7 degree intensity to rare earthquake level of 9 degree intensity.The dynamic properties,acceleration responses,displacement responses,strain responses and story shear force distribution,etc,were obtained from the test and compared with the pervious test results.The finite element model (FEM) of the test structure was established by ABAQUS and the numerical simulation of the test was carried out.The test results indicate that the structure is in elastic during the frequency earthquakes and only local damage appeares at the links.The lateral stiffness of the structure degrades obviously during the rare earthquakes but there is no dangerous collapse for the structure.The maximum inter-story drift ratio of the specimen during the frequent and rare earthquakes can meet the requirements on inter-story drift ratio limitation in the seismic design code of buildings.Links enter the plastic stage to dissipate earthquake energy while other structural members remain in elastic stage during rare earthquake.The results provided by the FE analysis show a good agreement with the test results.
