Abstract
In the effort to construct its urban system, Nanyang must develop itself in accordance with the "one core area plus four radiated areas" principle, with one core area referring to the main urban area comprising Wolong and Wancheng districts and four radiated areas referring to the four sub-areas comprising the geographically assorted counties falling within the jurisdiction of Nanyang.The 'northwest sub-area' consists of Xixia County, Neixiang County and Zhenping County with Zhenping County functioning as the sub-central city.The 'northeast sub-area' consists of Nanzhao County, Fangcheng County and Sheqi County with Sheqi County functioning as the sub-central city.The 'southeast sub-area' consists of Tanghe County and Tongbai County with Tanghe County functioning as the sub-central city.The 'southwest sub-area' consists of Xichuan County, Dengzhou City, and Xinye County, with Xinye County functioning as the sub-central city.During the development process of Nanyang's urban system, an urban ring involving counties of Nanzhao, Fangcheng, Sheqi, Tanghe, Xinye, Dengzhou, and Neixiang must be forged so as to spill radiation effects to more neighboring counties and townships.Meanwhile, efforts must be made to help townships cluster and radiate to surrounding areas.In addition, Nanyang must take the initiative to create favorable conditions for its integration into, especially its connection with core members of, the city clusters of Henan Province, so as to increase its regional influence.关键词
