Abstract
sisterhood emphasizes the impact and assistance of women's friendship that plays a vital role in the process of black women's liberation movement.Interdependence, comfort, encouragement and support from sisters are the spiritual pillar of the black women, giving them the confidence, courage to live on and the hope for future liberation as well.Sisterhood is the foundation of the black women's liberation with the spiritual guides, material help and operational support as conditions.In The Color Purple, "sisterhood" is crucial in the in female spiritual awakening.Under the oppression of gender, race and class, such "sisterhood" helps them present a united front to push forward the liberation movement.关键词
