Abstract
In recent years,the prevalence of hyperuricemia and gout is unceasingly elevating and predisposes to younger age in China.The goal of hyperuricemia and gout therapy is to maintain the serum level of uric acid lower than 300 μmol/L for premenopausal women or 360 μmol/L for men and postmenopausal women.Previous investigations have demonstrated that proper guidance on life style and uric acid level-lowering drugs contribute to reduce the serum level of uric acid.Nevertheless,the treat-to-target rate of serum level of uric acid is extremely low,and the understanding rate of the importance of individualized therapy and monitoring of serum uric acid is equally low in China.Enhancing the treat-to-target rate of hyperuricemia is a crucial step to reduce the risk of hyperuricemia-and gout-related complications and prolong the survival of patients.Health management plays a pivotal role in the treat-to-target therapy of hyperuricemia and gout,which deserves widespread promotion and application.关键词
