摘要

Abstract

In recent years, photoalignment technology has become a dominant alignment technique in liquid crystal fields.In addition to the flat panel displays, photoalignment has also been widely used in nondisplay fields.The review briefly introduces a photoalignment patterning technique based on a polarization-sensitive azo-dye agent and presents its application progresses in nondisplay fields including liquid crystal optical switches, special optical field modulation, depolarizer, terahertz waveplates, the manipulation of the cholesteric liquid crystal helical axes and so on.
