Essential summary of clinical application in orthodontic treatment and orthognathic surgery
摘要
Abstract
Severe skeletal malocclusion is not only an existing dental problems,which is associated with upper and lower arch size discrepancy,Morphology,Position,Symmetry and other significant abnormalities,but also it affects the patient's oral cavity,the physiological function of maxillofacial and even the whole body,patient's social status,furthermore it may also cause a different Psychological effects to the patient.The combination of orthodontic treatment and orthognathic surgery can treat severe skeletal malocclusion problems which cannot be treated by orthodontic treatment alone.As a result,the patient can bave an ideal improvement by a combination of both therapies in order to maintain healthy aligned teetb,stable occlusal relationship,improved oralfunctionand facial aesthetics.These will improve the patient's life quality,enhance patient's selfconfidence,as well as a happy life.关键词
