Abstract

In order to measure the adaptability of urban rail transit train diagram for dynamic multidimensional passenger flow,an evaluation method was presented for the matching degree between train diagram capacity and passenger demand using real passenger flow data.At the micro level,a passenger flow and train interaction model,considering train capacity constraints,was constructed to calculate the number of in-vehicle passengers,full load factor,number of left-behind passengers and average waiting time,and the chromatic train diagram was designed to visually display the effect results between passenger flow and train from time and space dimensions.At the macro level,the concept of capacity matching degree (CMD) was proposed.Using trapezoid distribution function to quantify riding comfort,waiting satisfaction and enterprise satisfaction,CMD was obtained by multiplication synthesis model.Conducting a case study of Shanghai Metro Line 9,results show that the micro indicators calculated by the interaction model are consistent with the actual operation state.CMD in evening rush hours is the highest,in morning rush hours is at the middle level,and in off-peak hours is worse,which effectively evaluate the comprehensive interests both of enterprise and passengers.Increasing train service frequency in rush hours and decreasing train service frequency in off-peak hours,respectively,the change trend of CMD is rising first and then falling.This method can provide quantitative support for optimizing the quality of train diagram.
