Abstract
Objective:As medical advances,modern society enter the era of aging population,women's average age of menopause is 50 years old,which means a woman may spend one third of her life span experiencing menopause and menopausal status.Severe discomforts menopause bring,as well as plenty of chronic disease may be related to decrease level of estrogen,need to receive greater attention.The aim of this study was to investigate the treatment overview of menopausal syndrome patients receiving Chinese and Western medicine,the characteristics and utilization of traditional Chinese medicine,for clinical reference.Methods:We retrospectively collected outpatient department medical records of menopausal syndrome patients who received treatment of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital Linkou,Taipei,and Taoyuan branches between 2004 and 2014.Patients' demographic data and traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions were analyzed.Results:The most frequently prescribed formula pattern was supplement formula (31.66％).The second was harmonizing resolution formula (18.19％).The third was spirit-quieting formula (11.41％).Jia-wei-xiao-yao-san (11.29％) and suan-zao-ren (3.75％) were the most frequently prescribed herbal formula and single herb,respectively.Conclusion i Supplement,harmonizing-resolution,clear heat and spirit-quieting were the main treatment principle of menopausal syndrome.From the syndrom differetiation point of view,coursing the liver、regulating qi dynamic、enriching kidney yin and yang should be considerate.Highly correlated with menopause cormobidity such as sleep disorder,metabolic syndrome and osteoporosis,clinical diagnosis when doctors need to be alert,and have more comprehensive view of menopausal syndrome.Combine the symptoms of postmenopausal syndrome as well as bian zheng need further discussion and clinical practice to achieve higher treatment precision.关键词
