Abstract

The four-switch three-phase inverter (FSTPI) is the post-fault reconfigured topology for the two-level inverter with single-leg failure.In order to enhance the DC-link voltage of FSTPI,a space vector pulse-width modulation (SVPWM) algorithm in the over-modulation region is proposed.It divides the over-modulation region of FSTPI into over-modulation mode Ⅰ region,over-modulation mode Ⅱ region and over-modulation mode Ⅲ region depending on the modulation index.In order to reveal the relationship between SVPWM and carrier-based pulse-width modulation (CBPWM)algorithm of FSTPI,the equivalent carrier-based modulating functions of SVPWM in these three over-modulation modes are derived respectively,based on the PWM regular sample method.The change rules of the equivalent carrier-based modulating functions in the full modulation region are summarized with the modulation index changing afterwards.Theoretical analysis shows that the SVPWM of FSTPI is a special type of CBPWM algorithm in the full modulation region.Simulation and experimental results verify the theoretical analysis.
