Abstract
Objective To explore the levels of serum matrix metalloproteinase-2,9 (MMP-2,9) in primary and recurrent cerebral infarction patients.Methods We selected 343 cases with primary cerebral infarction as primary group and 307 cases with recurrent cerebral infarction as recurrent group and 320 healthy controls as control group.Then the levels of serum MMP -2,9 of three groups were tested.Results The levels of serum MMP-2,9 in recurrent group were significantly higher than that in primary group,and primary group had higher levels relative to control group (P＜0.05).And the expressions of MMP -2 were not correlative to MMP-9 in both primary and recurrent groups (P＞0.05).Conclusion MMP-2 and MMP-9 play an important role in the development of cerebral infarction and monitor cerebral infarction recurrence as a molecular marker.关键词
