摘要

Abstract

In a super column-outrigger truss-core structures system,the insufficient lateral stiffness of the core segment is supplemented by the outrigger truss with a threshold stiffness,under which circumstances the sudden changes of the structural stiffness should be avoided to reduce the sharp increase of the internal forces at those locations.Elasto-plastic time history analyses are conducted in this paper on the outrigger trusses under severe earthquake.The results indicate that the ratio of linear stiffness of outrigger truss to core should be below 1.0,otherwise with an excessive stiffness of the outrigger truss it has little effect on reducing the structural story drift and instead causes a dramatic rise of internal forces at the locations configured with outrigger trusses due to the sudden change of structural stiffness.Meanwhile,the ratio of equivalent stiffness of outrigger truss to core should be greater than 0.8 in order for a favorable improvement in the bearing efficiency of outrigger truss with the existence of the super columns.
