摘要

Abstract

[Objectives] The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the impact of development and steroidogenesis of newly formed corpus luteal(CL) by stress in sows.[Methods] After injection of adrenocorticotropic hormone(ACTH) for simulating stress physiologic response,the tissue developmental status and the ability of steroidogenesis of the newly formed CL were examined by the RT-qPCR and immunohistochemistric methods.[Results] The results showed that plasma cortisol level in the ACTH treated sows was elevated significantly compared with the control.The expressions of P450 cholesterol side chain cleavage (P450scc) and 3β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase (3β-HSD)were down-regulated in the new CL of ACTH treated sows.The expressions of MMPs and VEGFa in the CL decreased compared to those of control sows.The ovary sections revealed a lower filling rate of luteal cells,and the capillary density in the CL was reduction in the ACTH treated sows.[Conclusions] The results suggested that the expression of main progesterone synthases and the angiogenesis of the newly formed CL in weaned sows could be impaired by higher plasma cortisol level because of ACTH administration.Stress can impact the normal development and function of the newly formed CL in sows.
