牛角瓜根的抑菌活性研究
Antifungal and Antimicrobial Activity of Root Extracts from Calotropis gigantea

Abstract
This research was to evaluate the antimicrobial activities of the root extracts of Calotropis gigantea.The mot of C.gigantean was extracted by the Soxhlet extraction method with four different solvents,including petroleum ether,chloroform,ethyl acetate and methyl alcohol.The antimicrobial activities were evaluated against 6 tested fungi and 7 tested bacteria using disc agar diffusion method.The antimicrobial results showed that the petroleum ether root extracts exhibited excellent antimicrobial activities against Bacillus subtilis (ATCCl1774),Candida albicans (ATCC10231),Aspergillus niger (ATCC16404) and Escherichia coil (ATCC25922).And the antimicrobial activities were equal to or even better than the positive control fluconazole.The petroleum ether mot extracts also showed good antimicrobial activities against Fusarium oxyporum(ATCC41029) and Acinetobacter baumanii (ATCC19606);the chloroform mot extracts displayed good antifungal activity against C.albicans (ATCC10231) and Streptococcus faecalis (ATCC29212);the ethyl acetate root extracts exhibited excellent antibacterial activity against S.faecalis (ATCC29212);the methyl alcohol mot extracts showed weak antimicrobial activities.关键词
